Platform Update: New File Limits for Free Accounts

Platform Update: New File Limits for Free Accounts
Hey 4mapper community!

As our platform continues to grow, we are constantly working behind the scenes to keep the editor fast, responsive, and stable for everyone creating projection mapping projects.

Today, we are announcing a small but important update regarding how file storage works on the platform.

What is changing?

Starting today, we are introducing a maximum file count limit alongside the existing megabyte quota.

Free Plan: You can now upload up to 10 files to your gallery (while keeping the existing 100MB total storage limit).

PRO Plan: You get unlimited file uploads, capped only by your massive 5GB total storage quota.

Why are we introducing this limit?

The Free plan is designed to be the perfect sandbox for beginners to learn projection mapping. We've found that 10 media assets provide exactly what you need to test the workflow, map your first surfaces, and experiment with scenes without feeling overwhelmed.

This helps us keep the platform structured and sustainable, giving you a solid hands-on experience to decide if 4mapper is the right tool for your professional setups.

The PRO Advantage

If you are building professional interactive installations, VJing live events, or just need to manage a vast library of visual assets for your scenes, the 4mapper PRO plan is built for you.

By upgrading to PRO (which is a one-time lifetime payment), you unlock everything:

  • Unlimited Files: Upload as many videos, images, and GIFs as you need.
  • 5GB Cloud Storage: Plenty of room for high-quality HD loops.
  • Live Widgets: Add real-time data (weather, clocks, crypto) to your projections.
  • Unlimited Projects: Never be forced to delete an old setup again.
  • USB controller with sensors for scene change

If you've hit your free file limit, you can easily Upgrade to PRO here and instantly remove the restrictions.

Thank you for your continued support, your feedback, and for making 4mapper your go-to browser-based projection mapping tool. Keep creating!
